The ARC Project is meant to facilitate conversation and action within our closest communities – creating a ripple effect of positive impact over the course of a twelve month curriculum.
“This project provides a structure of learning to enable people to start their journey from not-racist to Anti-Racist.” – Darcy Johnson, creator
I was hired on by Darcy to design a brand system that would anchor itself within the mission, as well as communicate key elements of the project. For example, the logotype is repeated twelve times in structure and each unit effects the next, in a ripple sequence. I also employed a font, designed by Tré Seals of Vocal Type, called Bayard: “a unique sans-serif typeface inspired by signs from the 1963 March On Washington For Jobs and Freedom.”
